In present study analyzed self-efficacy as manifestation of autonomy of behavior (self-regulation of behavior). Theoretical research base: self-determined theory based on organismic-dialectical meta-theory and several sub-theories: cognitive evaluation theory, organismic integration theory, causality orientations theory and basic needs theory. Described relations between self-efficacy, locus of control, Eysencks’ scales, attitude to the meaning of life, level of loneliness, social frustration and social wellness. Strong relations between features of autonomy of behavior and individual differences in personality which not determined by social context (social activity) were discovered. Thus level of self-efficacy and locus of control correlates with personality traits, the level of social adaptation and some aspect of attitudes to the meaning of life.

Keywords: self-determination theory, personality, self-efficacy, autonomy (self-regulation), motivation, locus of control, neuroticism, extraversion, psychoticism, well-being, social adaptation
