Individual characteristics of learning motivation and learning self-regulation in senior high school students were studied (N = 249). The relationships between learning motivation and the development level and style of conscious self-regulation were identified. It is shown that students with higher levels of learning motivation and self-regulation tend to achieve significantly higher academic results, have more positive attitude towards learning and more successfully adapt to changes in learning process than their peers.
