The results of studying such writing disorders as Wernicke aphasia are presented in the article. An attempt of integration of basic principles of gestalt psychology, physiology of activity and cultural-historical psychology served as a theoretical background of the study. This approach allowed to analyze writing disorders in the context of culturally and historically determined tasks at hand. It was shown that such tasks consistently changed symptoms of sensory (Wernicke) agraphia. Two main causes of these changes are suggested: 1) component reorganization of writing; 2) use of different strategies of writing. The analysis of different strategies of writing as causes of symptoms and signs changes in agraphia allows to discuss polysemy of neuropsychological symptoms.
