Термин «ментальная модель пользователя» чаще всего рассматривается когнитивной психологией в рамках человеко-компьютерного взаимодействия. Целью данной статьи является проведение академического обзора классических и современных исследований, направленных на изучение фундаментальных свойств ментальной модели пользователя. Эта работа поможет систематизировать знания о теории ментальных моделей пользователя и ее ключевых отличиях от других когнитивных моделей, используемых в области когнитивной психологии и человеко-компьютерного взаимодействия. В статье будут рассмотрены основные подходы к выявлению ментальных моделей пользователя, их преимущества и недостатки, а также основные направления фундаментальных исследований данного концепта.
