Аннотация

Данная статья представляет собой обзор ранних (до 1965 г.) исследований влияния семейного окружения на индивидуальность детей. Рассматриваются теории А.Адлера, В.Томана, М.Боуэна и ряд эмпирических исследований, направленных на проверку правильности теоретических положений этих авторов. Делается вывод о том, что ранние работы показали важность изучения фактора порядка рождения, но не смогли объяснить причины его влияния на особенности личности, ее установки и поведение. Многие вопросы, касающиеся роли порядка рождения и семейной динамики в развитии личности, остались открытыми. Эффект порядка рождения оказался более сложным, чем большинство исследователей полагало в 1920–1965 гг. Выяснение роли эффекта порядка рождения в личностном развитии – тема будущих исследований.
