Abstract

The current manuscript of Zaporozhets A.V. had beenprepared for theAll-Union conference on psychologydated in 1970s. Being one of thefoundersof cultural-activity psychology and action psychology he considered the problem of studying emotions within the context of activity.Apart from outlining new lines of emotions research he summarized results of the studies conducted at the Research Institute of Preschool Education of the USSR Academy and the laboratory of emotional development in children. According to Zaporozhets, de-velopment of specifically human emotions in children depends on their subject operation by means of interi-orization. This determines both content and structural features ofemotionsto develop. Healsodescribed the neurophysiological mechanisms following the shiftof emotion in personality structure. The current paper also mentionsthe context for the Zaporozhets’ manuscript preparation as well as brief description of its content.
