The paper is devoted to the comparative analysis of features of social identity and social representations at teenagers and young men. Influence of age and a social context on structure and the maintenance of social identity, and also on character of the relation to different sides of social space is considered. The received materials show that identity of teenagers is less differentiated, has more contradictory character, than identity of young men. Similarity of tendencies in the relation to wide social space at teenagers and young men allows to assume that social representations are a product not so much of age features of development of identity, how many a product of a social situation in society which broadcasts this relation. The maintenance of social identity of modern teenagers is defined more by age tasks whereas character of the attitude towards themselves, valuable orientations and social representations in many respects are defined by a social context of development.
