Individual and transgenerational traumatization of adoptive parents and an adoptive family quality (an empirical study)

The results of an empirical study of prospective adoptive parents are presented and discussed. The factors potentially affecting an adoptive family quality are identified and discussed; these factors include the adopters’ current mental state, the level of their transgenerational and individual psychological traumatization, adoption motives and tactics of parent-child interaction.
