Modern neuropsychological, neurogenetic and neuromathematical concepts of schizophrenic thought disorders (review)

Abstract

The summary of neuropsychologal, neurogenetical and neuromathematical concepts of schizophrenic thought disorders (TD) is presented. The importance of these concepts for rising scientific substantiation, objectiveness and heuristics of scientific views on schizophrenic thought disorders is proved. Possible neurocognitive mechanisms and neurobiological bases (genetic and morphofunctional brain abnormalities) of thought disorders are discussed. It is emphasized that the notion of complex, multilevel and systemic organization of TD pathogenesis neurobiological mechanisms is common to modern foreign science. The lack of unity of views on some theoretical issues and insufficient coherence of certain facts and theories in schizophrenic thought disorders is noted.
