The article presents the results of empirical research of primary school-age children’s dynamics of values and self-perception during the period of social changes. A comparative analysis of data obtained in 2005 and 2009 was carried out. This data showed that in 2009 is increasing the degree of self-image’s differentiation, quite high in 2005. It is suggested that the uncertainty and ambiguity of the social environment, stimulate awareness and differential self-representations.
