Personality siblings traits and features of sibling and child-parent relationships

The article is devoted to analysis of the results, obtained in research of child-parental and sibling relationships in two-child families. The links between these relationships and sibling’s personal traits are presented. There was found out the dissimilarity between older and younger siblings in structure of correlations between personality traits and sibling and parent-child relationships. Divergences between the senior and younger children in character of interrelations between the person’s traits and features of child-parental and sibling relationships are found out. It has been shown that in a case when parents are emotionally closer to one child of sibling pair, it positively influences on personal characteristics of older child, and negatively – on younger child. Sibling relationship’s character, as it was appeared, directly connected with older sibling' extraversion and locus of control.
