Abstract

The current paper belongs to a special issue dedicated to preregistration of research in psychology. The review covers the history of registered reports up to the current state. We show that certain journals had already adopted such an approach before the era of preregistration happened. Multiple evidence suggests that registered reports are beneficial both for the psychological science and particular researchers.
