Abstract

This article is aimed to review Russian and foreign studies of the interaction between athletes’ system of values and professional longevity. The studies of value orientations of athletes of various sports at various stages of sportsmanship are examined as well. Approaches to the analysis and interpretation of the value system in sports are summarized for further research of its dynamics.
