The study aimed to explore the structure and components of the self-image of middle-aged females within the context of practicing «soft fitness practices» (Pilates, yoga, bodyflex, stretching, myofascial release and their combinations). To examine satisfaction with the physical self-image we utilized the «Evaluative and meaningful interpretation of the components of the external appearance» by V.A. Labunskaya. The data were analyzed using nonparametric Mann-Whitney U-test and factor analysis. Two groups of women aged 30 to 60 years, one engaged in fitness practices (n=38) and the control group (n=38), participated in the study. The findings revealed that participation in soft fitness practices fosters the development of a novel self-image structure among women. This structure is associated with evaluations of body shape, external appearance, facial femininity, and behavioral characteristics.
