The aim of this article is to analyze the theoretical and methodological foundations of cognitive-behavioral coaching and to identify prospects for its further development and research. The article examines the historical prerequisites for the emergence of cognitive-behavioral coaching as a helping practice. The distinctions between cognitive-behavioral coaching (CBC) and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) are analyzed. The principles and theoretical foundations of CBC are outlined, and its methodological frameworks and models are reviewed. The article also discusses the limitations and future directions of CBC development. It is concluded that cognitive-behavioral coaching represents an effective approach to personal development and that further evidence-based studies of its effectiveness in Russian-speaking samples are needed.
