Abstract

The article is an extended commentary to the “Cybernetic Explanation” by Gregory Bateson. In the focus of the author’s attention are three types of restraints by the analysis of which - according to Bateson - a negative explanation should be constructed: the restraints related to the limited economics of alternatives, the restraints related to the redundancy and to the feedback.
