Abstract

The article reviews the discussion between two leading representatives of Soviet philosophy E.V. Ilyenkov and D.I. Dubrovsky on the problem of the ideal; The paper reconstructs the opponent’s arguments and demonstrates how the ideas discussed by the philosophers can be viewed in the context of contemporary philosophy of mind.
