Narrative as a method of research of the socialization process

Features of narrative as a socialization research method are analyzed. It is shown that some properties of narrative possesses material allow to use this material while searching new socialization model both in childhood and adulthood. Necessity of revision of socialization concept from modern science perspective is discussed. It is emphasized that narrative can hold and problematize relationships between the individual and his/her sociocultural environment. The possibility of creating research model within narrative approach that allows to investigate both social and personal dimensions, to avoid their opposition and, perhaps, to provide the clue to new vision of relationships between the individual and culture is considered.
