Abstract

Modern psychology faces challenges of new reality that demand active response to its changes and inquiries. In this context, development of situational approach practical applications of which are connected with opportunities of modifying situations seems rather actual. The methodological basis of this approach is K.Lewin's ideas about the context influence on human behavior. Application of situational approach to conflict resolution and negotiation (mediation) is described. K.Lewin’s paradigm of 'effective research' is considered to be actual for modern psychological practice of solving social problems.
