Abstract

The results of the empirical study of subjective values of delinquent adolescents are presented in the paper. Boys and girls aged 14-16 years were included in the study, 30 of them demonstrated delinquent behavior and 28 – non-delinquent behavior. It is shown that adolescents with delinquent behavior have weaker and more unstable interest in educational and professional activities; less value friendship and attachment; demonstrate more emotional detachment, less responsibility for themselves, their health, social environment and homeland; give more preference to material wealth than their non-delinquent peers. Delinquent behavior is associated with diminished subjective position and personal immaturity of adolescent offenders.
