Abstract

The reasons for progress in a new scientific field – positive psychology – are analyzed, the consequences of such progress are considered. The potential, advantages and future trends of positive psychology as well as possible ways of development are evaluated. The problems of positive psychology are highlighted, the ways of solving some of these problems are proposed.
