Abstract

Identity development as well as personal and social identity in teenagers living in big cities and small towns are considered. Data of empirical study of teenagers living in big cities and small towns (266 subjects living in Moscow and Borovichi) are described. Dynamics of personal and social identity and self-image development in teenagers living in different social environments is thoroughly analyzed. The study results suggest that there are significant differences in identity development in teenagers living in big cities and small towns.
