Abstract

Factors of social functioning impairments in adolescents with schizophrenia are considered. Notions of social intelligence and social competence are analyzed. Study of social competence peculiarities in adolescents with schizophrenia is described. Results of comparative study of social intelligence and social skills in adolescents with schizophrenia and mentally sound adolescents – pupils of general education schools are presented. Main objectives of therapy and correction of social adaptation impairments in patients with schizophrenia are identified and described.
