System attributes of language are shown through lexico-semantic category of polysemy. Form and content interdependence is demonstrated. Language simultaneous openness to the world and to the man is shown: language is considered both as an entire sign system and as a way of image of the world reflection and formulation. Language system capacity for self-evolution and self-regulation allows to describe it in terms of “symmetry / asymmetry”, “statics / dynamics” and “actual / virtual”. It is shown by example of lexico-semantic form of the word how every language category reflects all system attributes of the whole.
