Thought disorders in people with histrionic personality disorder

Abstract

The results of sensitivity to contradictions in patients with hysterical personality disorder study are presented. Based on proposed Sensitivity to Contradictions Method and Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale (WAIS) results the situational universality of judgments is described as a manifestation of the specific cognitive style that explains a cognitive dissonance decrease in wishful thinking phenomenon (the formation of beliefs and making decisions according to what might be pleasing to imagine). Sensitivity to contradictions and intelligence (WAIS) scores correlation is discussed.
