Gender socialization and communication structure in adolescence

The notion of gender socialization is analyzed. The essential mechanisms of gender identity development are considered. The results of empirical study of the relationship between peer communication characteristics and gender type of personality in senior adolescents are described. Complex portraits of masculine, feminine and androgyne types of personality in communication context are presented.
