Emotional socialization: content and mechanisms

Abstract

The main approaches to emotional socialization studies in social psychology abroad are considered in this paper. Key dimensions of emotional learning and experience are discussed. The emotional socialization data in a view of attachment studies are presented. The socialization of emotions in cultural context is discussed. Emotional competence as a result of emotional socialization is considered.
