The review of methodological approaches to investigation of the interaction between different type information by the example of semantic memory (visual or auditory, verbal or non-verbal) is presented. The author’s method of semantic memory investigation is described. The results of healthy teenagers examination show that the subject’s ability to process simultaneously stimuli of different modality is related to vocabulary development level, total verbal activity but not to intelligence and attention development and thus in a greater extent reflects the structure of mental lexicon.
