Nonverbal behavior as the basis for social status attribution

Abstract

The process of social status attribution is analyzed in the article which aims to find the place of non-verbal behavior in the process of social status attribution. Young people representations of social status were analyzed, main characteristics peculiar to people with different social status were described. Additionally, main patterns of nonverbal behavior which are thought (by young people) to be typical for people with different social status are given.
