Psychological characteristics of the structure of professional identity in art students

Abstract

Theoretical concepts of different types of identity and peculiarities of studying professional identity in art students are considered. Structure and motivation characteristics of professional identity in art students studying acting (n = 65), directing (n = 39), music (n=66), choir conducting (n=30) are analyzed. Significant differences in characteristics of students’ professional identity are revealed which implies that manifestation of professional identity, image of profession and future professional career as well as professional motivation depend on the student’s professional specialization.
