The comparative analysis of a group and an individual way of conducting Family Drawing Test: results and prospects

Abstract

Comparative analysis of the results of conducting projective Family Drawing Test in groups vs. individually is presented. Family Drawing Test was given to children of preschool age. It is shown that projective material actualized in various conditions differs in the degree of differentiation, expressiveness, as well as in its quality, the level and intensity of conflict. It is concluded that conditions of test presentation determine structure and quality of obtained projective material. Therefore every time it is important to consider the conditions of this test presentation and taking them into account to qualify the projective content. Furthermore, individual variations of projective production are investigated within the frames of these two types of conditions.
