Abstract

The problem of crisis in early adolescence is considered. The main quality changes in self-consciousness, time perspective and values of junior adolescents (266 adolescents aged 12–15) are identified and examined. Significant differences in self-representations of 7th vs. 8th graders are found. The quality restructuring of self-consciousness is concluded to occur during this crisis period of development.
