Is there happiness? (Are children happy during crisis?)

Abstract

The results of the second phase of the study of the image of the world in modern preschoolers conducted by research group of M.V.Lomonosov Moscow State University psychogenetics department are presented. The first phase of the study was conducted in 1992-1998, the second phase – in 2001 and in the end of 2009 – the beginning of 2010. Besides other questions during the interview children were asked about crisis, unemployment and happiness. The results show that children of senior preschool age are happy despite of political, economic and social situation in the country. Children of six do not feel negative consequences of global economic crisis and think that because of crisis nothing changed in their families.
