Socialization of personality: systematic-diachronic approach

Abstract

Features of systematic-diachronic approach to analysis of socialization process are discussed. Non-linearity of socialization process due to personality involvement in diverse social relations and a change in the nature of personality determination is noted. Multi-level system configuration is considered in terms of the ratio of intra-and inter-functional linkages of uni-and multi-ordinal instances. In the process of socialization a change of major, dominant instances that play a decisive role at the levels of personality involvement in social relations and accumulation as well as at the levels of social experience objectivation and consistent behavior takes place. Diachronic changes of different components of personality in the process of socialization that depend on gender, socialization conditions and stages impact primarily on integral characteristics of personality – criterial formations of socialization. Dynamics of systematic changes is related to incoherence of various instances, leading to dissatisfaction and tension center development.
