Abstract

Sociocultural preconditions and personal predispositions causing modern variety of subjective ambiguity and duality phenomena are analyzed as well as connection between resource and psychopathological aspects of uncertainty and ambiguity treatment. Specificity of modern cultural environment with its’ destructive ideals, mythologemas, manipulative political and media technologies and piercing idea of deconstruction are examined. Ways of experimental modeling of ambiguity experience and stylistic and clinical variations of ambiguity treatment are compared. Proceeding from specificity of projected anxiety’s meaning, defense mechanisms and status of self-identity, five typical ways of social and cultural ambiguity experience are defined. From diagnostic point of view they are characterize the balance between subjective disintegration (severity level of personality disorder) and personal resource potential. The necessity of interdisciplinary approach to the process of sociocultural development and disintegration of self-identity in the context of “Self-Other” relations by methodological instruments of the allied sciences – social epistemology, clinical and social psychology is provided.
