On the content of process of civilian socialization: an image of modern society in youth

Abstract

The content of civil socialization is considered as a process of development of relations between an individual and modern society. At that, civil socialization is considered not as a normative way of society development, but as a unique way of development of each individual. In this article special emphasis is put on differential characteristics of modern society: the problem of multivariance of society development, the problem of determination of vector of further transformation of social reality. The individual perception of modern society is a construct that allows to identify significant features of the content of civil socialization. Using qualitative methods the content of civil socialization was considered as viewed by modern youth and meaning-making categories of development relations between individual and society were identified.
