Abstract

The comparative analysis of the creative heritage of the French thinker I.Taine and the Russian scientist D.N.Ovsyaniko-Kulikovsky is presented. Cultural-historical method of I.Taine was not enunciated as an entire theory: its elements are described in different works of the author. At the turn of XX century I.Taine’s heritage was culturally assimilated by cultural-historical and psychological schools in Russian literary studies and became an important source for development of Russian cultural-psychological epistemology. Post-non-classical methodological devices allow to identify elements of micro-analysis and cultural-psychological analysis in the creative heritage of I.Taine and D.N.Ovsyaniko-Kulikovsky.
