Socio-psychological factors of career success

Abstract

Approaches to socio-psychological issues of career success are analyzed. Contemporary career definitions, approaches and possible directions for future research are discussed. Factors of career success including typology of career-personality congruence are considered in details. The authors’ definition of career is given. The authors’ approach to evaluation of the most significant career determinants that covers identification of complex personal and institutional factors is proposed.
