Results of the study of tools used for information transfer and adoption in the context of virtual communication are presented. The author's method of studying representations of emotions in Internet messages of contactors of teenage and youthful age is described. Relationship between an emotional intelligence level (mainly levels of ability to control emotions and self-control) and coding of feelings and emotions of partners in virtual communication as well as emotional attitude to the content of correspondence is shown and empirically proved. It is established that the level of emotional saturation of an Internet message depends on the respondents’ age, features of their emotional intellect (EQ) and their mastery in operational skills of online communication.
