Adolescence: the myth or the reality? The interdisciplinary approach to the problem

Abstract

This article is devoted to interdisciplinary studying of a phenomenon of adolescence by the French and American researchers, beginning from the etymological analysis of concept, historical and ethnographic studies and finishing sociological, physiological and literary interpretations. Affirms the cultural invention of adolescence as age period and dependence of course of teenage crisis on a cultural-historical context.
