Культурные правила выражения и распознавание эмоций других людей: различия в распознавании гнева представителями армянской и русской культур

Аннотация

Изучались особенности распознавания эмоционального состояния другого человека представителями армянской и русской культур. В предварительном исследовании было обнаружено, что армяне, в отличие от русских, склонны в большей степени контролировать экспрессию гнева при взаимодействии с близкими людьми. Одна из идей, объясняющих влияние культуры на распознавание эмоций, предполагает, что правила выражения, которые заставляют подавлять экспрессию в определенных социальных ситуациях, должны компенсироваться представителями соответствующей культуры при оценке ими эмоционального состояния наблюдаемого. Исходя из этого, мы предположили, что, наблюдая за человеком, который находится в ситуации, провоцирующей сильный гнев, но не проявляет его в экспрессии, армяне будут оценивать интенсивность переживаемой им эмоции выше, чем русские, но только для ситуаций взаимодействия с членами своей семьи. В исследовании участвовали 65 армян (в возрасте 17–32 лет, M = 22,31, SD = 2,46, 38% мужского пола) и 64 русских (в возрасте 20–42 лет, M = 22,44, SD = 2,89, 34% мужского пола), которым предлагалось оценить по шкале 1–7 интенсивность гнева, переживаемого героем (изображенным на фотографии с нейтральной экспрессией), который находится в описанной ситуации (давалось вербальное описание ситуации, провоцирующей сильный гнев). Использовалось два типа ситуаций: где герой взаимодействовал с членом семьи и с малознакомым человеком. Армяне, по сравнению с русскими, ставили значимо более высокие оценки интенсивности переживания только для ситуаций взаимодействия с членами семьи. Результат объясняется тем, что наличие культурного запрета на выражение гнева к членам семьи у армян сказывается на том, насколько они ориентируются на экспрессию, оценивая эмоции другого человека.
