Sex differences in intelligence and personality traits at siblings from two-child families

Abstract

Sex differences in intelligence and personality traits were investigated. Sample consisted of 604 siblings from two-child families (284 women and 320 men). It was found, that sex differences in IQ-scores depend on birth order and type of sibling pair. Girls scored higher than boys on neuroticism. There were no significant differences between boys and girls in extraversion, sensation seeking and locus of control.
